Train to teach with us
Thinking of becoming a teacher?
The Ignite Federation is now an official partner working with the University of Warwick to provide school-based training for anyone interested in training to become a qualified teacher via the one-year PGCE route.
Our two schools can offer a rich experience within a highly supportive environment for you to kick-start your new career whilst having the theoretical aspects of the training provided by the 'Outstanding' rated ITT programmes at Warwick Uni. We have two courses available specialising in the 5-11 age range or the 3-7 age range and applications to start training in September 2024 will open on 10th October 2023.
Our federation consists of two very unique primary schools, split across 4 different village locations serving very diverse communities which ensures trainees get the absolute richest of experiences. The Revel School serves a predominantly rural catchment and has a major focus on learning through the outdoors. Wolvey Primary School consists of a third of children from the local Gypsy, Roma community, a third from the local Military Barracks alongside the local village communities. Wolvey school was judged to have ‘Outstanding’ behaviour and attitudes by Ofsted in June 2023.
